Il y a quelques jours, j’ai eu l’occasion d’assister à une présentation de Morpheus VM Essentials de HPE. Même si notre orientation actuelle penche plutôt vers Proxmox comme solution de virtualisation alternative à VMware, ce choix structurant me fait beaucoup réfléchir – et la décision finale n’est pas simple.
Vous connaissez sans doute AWX (ou sa version licenciée, Ansible Automation Platform, anciennement Ansible Tower), la solution phare de Red Hat pour piloter et automatiser vos déploiements Ansible. Mais saviez-vous qu’il existe une alternative open-source, légère et polyvalente ? Semaphore UI permet non seulement d’orchestrer vos playbooks Ansible, mais aussi des outils comme OpenTofu, Terraform, des scripts Bash ou même PowerShell !
Salut à tous ! On en parlait il y a peu sur vBlog, et c’est désormais officiel : une version bêta du plugin XCP-ng pour Veeam est disponible sur le forum R&D de Veeam ! Une excellente nouvelle après l’annonce, en mai 2024, du support de Proxmox par Veeam. En à peine plus d’un an, XCP-ng rejoint la fête et confirme son statut d’alternative potentielle et sérieuse dans l’écosystème de la virtualisation.
Depuis le rachat de VMware par Broadcom, à peu près tout le monde (en Europe, en tout cas) se pose la question de savoir comment remplacer – ou du moins limiter l’importance – de VMware au sein des environnements de production. Voici quelques réflexions personnelles qui me tourmentent en ce moment.
