Quatre mois nous séparent de la Coupe du Monde 2026, mais les trois organisateurs semblent mettre les petits plats dans les grands pour montrer qu’ils sont en mesure d’accueillir la grande messe du foot mondial. Co-organisé par les Etats-Unis, le Canada et le Mexique, le Mondial 2026 sera innovant à plus d’un titre.

Présenté en fanfare il y a près de six ans, remis sur le devant de la scène à plusieurs éditions du CES, promis pour 2024 puis 2025, le robot domestique Ballie semblait enfin proche d’une commercialisation. Il y a pourtant tout lieu de craindre le pire : sa page officielle a disparu du site de Samsung. Le projet est-il en train d’être discrètement remisé au placard ?

Entre des robots qui laissent tomber des assiettes et des androïdes incapables d’ouvrir un frigo sans réfléchir pendant dix minutes, la robotique humanoïde n’a pas toujours brillé par son naturel. La start-up DroidUp pense avoir trouvé une autre voie avec Moya, un robot à l’apparence résolument humaine, conçu moins pour impressionner par sa force que pour instaurer un vrai face-à-face avec les humains. Quitte à mettre légèrement mal à l’aise.
